Si vous souhaitez soumettre un travail pour devenir artiste de galerie, veuillez envoyer un e-mail à cutsandpastegallery @ gmail.com avec les éléments suivants :
Courte biographie, introduction à vous-même et à votre travail, y compris le lieu, le nom et les pronoms préférés,
5 à 10 images de travaux en cours et pourquoi vous souhaitez rejoindre la galerie.
S'il y a de l'espace disponible et un besoin pour votre style de collage et/ou d'assemblage, je vous contacterai. Sinon, vous risquez de ne pas avoir de mes nouvelles. Cela ne veut pas dire que vous n'êtes pas extraordinaire, cela signifie simplement que je suis dépassé parce que c'est toujours moi qui fais tout.

Open Call for Submissions - 'Fresh Start', May 10 - July 05
On New Year's Day, 6 months earlier than intended, the gallery was relocated to 5511 Cunard Street in Halifax, NS. As artists were informed, some researched the new location and address, and a funny thing happened. Google decided it was pertinent to alert us to the fact that the street address was an 'angel number'. In fact, according to numerologist.com, it means the following:
'Seeing the 5511 Angel Number is a sign that you are being guided by divine forces. This angel number is associated with spiritual awakening and enlightenment, as well as inner growth and personal development. It is believed to represent abundance, success, joy, prosperity, and freedom from fear or worry. The spiritual meaning of the '5511' angel number is about making important decisions in your life with confidence and trust. Your angels are encouraging you to take bold steps towards your goals and dreams.'
So, as this location was chosen to provide a fresh start and the symbolism of 5511 certainly encourages the idea of starting over and making bold decisions, I'd love to invite artists, on the first day of spring, to create a collage or assemblage that represents a 'Fresh Start' in your own lives, either real or imagined if it hasn't happened yet. Create a work that represents what abundance, joy or success looks like to you. Let the newness and growth of spring guide you to dream big and allow yourself to be guided to make bold steps in creating your works.
Please submit no later than April 26th at 12 noon with a photo of the finished work, size, materials used, and pricing if to be listed for sale by emailing cutsandpastegallery@gmail.com. If shipping of the work may be required, please submit earlier to allow for that. Shipping of the artworks to the gallery is the expense of the artist, with return shipping of unsold artworks paid for by the gallery.
The show will open May 10th, coinciding with World Collage Day, Open City Halifax and the next Gallery Hop. An opening reception will be offered. Details TBA.
